By involving your kids in the process, you can help them develop an interest in natural and healthy products while honing their kitchen skills. Plus, using natural Anatolian bee products in your homemade chocolate can provide a rich source of nutrition.

Creating your own chocolate that contains propolis and raw honey is one of the best ways to incorporate Anatolian bee products into your diet. This homemade chocolate is free of preservatives and added sugar, providing a clean and healthy treat that mothers can feel good about.

Here is the recipe for natural chocolate with “Antep pistachios” and raw honey:

Ingredients:

4 tbsp of raw cacao powder

3 tbsp of the propolis-royal jelly-raw honey mixture

4 tbsp of coconut oil

10-15 pieces of Antep pistachios

Preparation:

Melt the coconut oil using the double boiler method. Add the raw cacao powder, propolis-royal jelly-raw honey mixture, and raw honey to the melted coconut oil. Blend well until the mixture is smooth. Place all the Antep pistachios on the bottom of the mold, then pour the mixture evenly on top of them. Let it freeze for 2 hours in the freezer. Bon Appetit!

What is Propolis?

Propolis is a natural bee product that bees collect from the resinous parts of plants and is composed of phenolics and flavonoids. Bees first cover the honeycomb cells with propolis and then put their honey, pollen, and royal jelly on top. This way, bee products are stored in the hive without spoiling.

What is Royal Jelly?

Royal jelly is a natural bee product that worker bees secrete from their mandibular glands and feed to both queen and worker larvae in the hive. It is a highly nutritious substance, containing B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6), essential minerals such as zinc, magnesium, and iron, as well as unique compounds such as royalactin, a natural protein not found in any other food, and 10-HDA, a natural organic acid.

What is Raw Honey? Raw honey is natural honey suitable for consumption after being harvested from the hives. It has not been heated above 45°C or filtered with mesh sizes smaller than 300 microns. All of its nutritional content is preserved.
